There are plenty of urban developed cities in Japan with it's high density population in certain areas and one of them is Shibuya. Also known as the shopping district since it is located do close to Shibuya station which is one of Tokyo's busiest railway stations.

The origin of Shibuya is that the land was on the site of a castle owned by the Shibuya family back in the 11th century. Shibuya can be split into multiple districts, the main ones are: Hatagaya, Yoyogi, Sendagaya, Ebisu-Ōmukai and Hikawa Shimbashi.

But Shibuya itself is famous for its scramble crossing. It is found in front of Shibuya Station in front of the Hachikō statue. It stops all vehicles from moving and allows pedestrians to cross in all directions.

There are three large tv's outside and a Starbucks which is thought to be the busiest one in the world. Many movies have been filmed, from Resident Evil to Fast and Furious. It's also awesome to watch.
